IDC Membership
IDC's Membership program is the leading professional association for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, working with professionals and executives to advance workplace DEI since 2009. Membership is available in six (6) levels to help DEIA professionals and advocates, students and retirees, and organizational teams to learn from experts, network with peers, get involved, and become D&I leaders.

Worksite Support Groups
Also known as employee resource groups (ERGs) or business resource groups (BRGs), these are groups of employees who come together to discuss and share DEIA experiences. They provide a safe space to share thoughts and feelings, learn from each other, and develop strategies for navigating the workplace. Benefits include:
- Increased understanding of DEI issues
- Improved communication and relationships with colleagues
- Increased confidence and self-advocacy skills
How can you start a resource group?
- Get support from management. They can help with promotion, resources, and challenges.
- Identify a facilitator, the one responsible for leading the group. They should be knowledgeable about DEI and have experience facilitating groups.
- Recruit members from all levels and backgrounds to ensure a diverse and inclusive group.
- Set ground rules to create a safe, respectful environment.
- Plan topics for discussion that are relevant to the group, based on goals, needs, or current events.
- Hold regular meetings. The facilitator should be prepared to address questions or concerns that members have.
